The Assistant Director (AD) for Residence Life plans, implements, evaluates, and assesses operations, programs & services in a designated residential area. The AD ensures that all programs and services in their area are aligned with and supportive of the mission and strategic plans of University Housing, the Division of Student & Alumni Services, and the academic purposes of the University of South Carolina.

The AD provides leadership & supervision to area staff, budgets, programs & services. Because of the high level of activity that occurs 24 hrs/day
within the residence halls, the AD plays an important role in formulating & implementing a variety of behavioral policies & procedures & in supervising the staff in their efforts to implement those policies. The AD coordinates & integrates departmental programs & services with other residential areas, other departments with the Division, other areas within USC, & agencies external to USC.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field or bachelor's degree and two (2) years related experience; or equivalency

12 month live on position (The Assistant Director team lives on campus in University Housing Properties, not in a traditional residence hall
setting)

Salary Commensurate with Experience
