The project is open to young people in the age of 18 up to 25 years who are open towards gaining new experiences in contact with different religions, cultures and people from other countries. Our wish is to have a lot of different religions here, but it is not necessary that you are either a strong believer or religious at all.
Project name: Exchange against Prejudice
Project time : 01 – 08 / 07/ 2007
Place : Antalya - Turkey
Target group : 18 – 25 everybody (young, youth center, students,
association)
Each Partner = 5 participants + 1 leader
Partner Countries : 4 Eu countries (only EU )
Deadline : 1. February 2007 ( please send part-3 and part-4 only via FAX )
We will reimburse % 70 of travel to Antalya and we will totally cover accommodation, food and activities. (There is no participation fee)
The period for the project will be from Thursday, 1st of March until Thursday 8th of March 2007 and will take place in Antalya.
You just should be tolerant towards all the other participants. As there will be the maximum of 40 participants and we are expecting at least groups from four countries or more, your group should not include more than about 8 people. We want multilateral youth exchange in Antalya
Main Topics for the project will be the following:
· Getting to know other people and become more open towards other ways of living and thinking
· Presenting your religion, culture and country to the other participants
· Discussion about the differences of religions
· Discussion about the religious freedom in different countries
· Finding ways to get more tolerance between the religions and its different symbols
· Finding ways against intolerance and xenophobia
· Visits to several local religious centers, for example the Christian or Muslim Community
· Visit Antalya City and its town hall
· Of course there should be speaking about religion in Turkey and about the problems of sects and small religious communities.
· Enough space for group games or role plays and others
· And last but not least see what we can learn from the others to make the world a more tolerant and saver place.
Our final aim is to produce a charter for the right and tolerant dealing with other religions and culture which could be used in a
variety of different circumstances of life.
